Events-My Seventeenth Birthday (:

I honestly don't know why I complain sometimes. When I look back, I wanna smack myself over and over again for being so pessimistic and materialistic at times. Because usually, for some strange reason I feel as if no one likes me and I'm just a loner in a sea of fakes. Yeah. It's stupid. But it's days like these where I know that I'm just complaining about nothing. It's days like these where I feel all of my pessimism fading away and to put it in a corny way, it's like I'm floating on a cloud. And the only bad part is, it's days like these where everything goes so well that time flies so you don't have enough time to enjoy it.
Today was my seventeenth birthday. It was kind of funny because usually, at 5:50 in the morning, I hit my alarm and then hit it a few more times because I keep giving up and going back to sleep. But it seemed as if I was sleeping with one eye open or something because I felt awake but I wasn't. Can't really explain it right but oh well. Anyways....the moment that clock hit 5:50 "Right Round" by Timbaland (I think) started going off because I always set my alarm clock to KIISFM (and yes I remembered the song...sue me) Anyway it started going off and I felt as if I just woke up with a static shock and literally rolled/jumped out of my bed, hit the off button on my alarm clock and was out the door into the shower before 5 seconds had even passed. No kidding. And then the shower took about 10 minutes which is pretty standard for me. When I went back to my room from my shower, I immediately felt the head rush and sleepiness from my freakout at 5:50 so I instantly knocked out on my bed for about 8 minutes. Then I woke up again and started to get ready for my day. MYYYYY DAY! When I got to school, I went to the library and sat there for who knows how long because Peter and Siobhan were having a slow day as they always do on Mondays. (Don't give me that look Peter, you guys DO have slow days on Mondays) And I was distracted while I was doodling on a piece of paper when these two faces just pop out at me and it's Pebhan. Peter gave me my new digital picture frame which is playing now as I type. Siobhan gave me this beautiful colorful keychain (which looks better than Peter's) Then Robert came all hyper on something and gave me this really great letter. When I bumped into Pattie and Tara later, they gave me balloons and an awesome homemade card, and a cute sundress. The day went really well and I was enjoying myself. Thankfully, I finished my homework so at lunch I was able to relax and goof off with my crew and Michael, Ashish, and Daniel. Lots of laughs with those guys around..I'm not even kidding (: After school, Kathleen gave me the most gorgeous bracelet I've ever seen in my life. I'm planning on wearing it soon if I can find something to wear it with. After school from 3 - 5:30 I was with the rest of the PC officers getting some things ready for Project DB. That was the only frustrating stressful thing that happened today but it's okay because it didn't really bother me all that much. So Bes gave me a ride home and then I spent the rest of my alone time trying to figure out how my digi picture frame works (which it now does) Then when the rest of my family came home, my dad took me to Albertsons to buy a cake of my choosing (Full out chocolate cake with melted chocolate and caramel on the inside, chocolate frosting, and caramel/Snickers on the top YUMMM) and brought it home. Tried some parallel parking and unfortunately failed BIGTIME but whatever. When we got home, our family ate together and then we lit the candles and I was treated to really bad singing on my family's part but it was still enjoyable :D Then I blew out my candles (not before I made my wish) and we ate. Then I finished the rest of my day with finishing my homework and now this.
What's making me feel like I'm floating on air and not pessimistic and WANTING to slap myself for being pessimistic is after looking at the 26+ (they're still coming) people (some of which I don't exactly talk to on a normal basis) who took the time to wish me a 'happy birthday' on facebook and other means of internet communication, I realize, I'm not that bad off. I've got good health, healthy friends, healthy family, a good home, my grades are going up, and I'm just generally better off then many people. And all this time I've just wanted more. But now that I realize this, I'm not so paranoid anymore. I really do love my life. This is the main thing that made my day so happy: It's that I was reminded of how good my life really is. How people DO care about me, they just probably don't show it. How I've just either been expecting too much or being overly paranoid like I usually am. And it's going to stop. The next time my pessimism takes over, I want to do my best to keep in mind on what I have going for me. If not, well, there's always my next birthday LOL
Well I'm tired. Tomorrow's a late start but I still want to get some sleep. Which means I'm too lazy to include my horoscope. Well suck it!(:

THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!! to all the people who contributed to making my birthday so happy and fun and also making me feel happy as well. (In both big ways and small ways of course) These are one of the days I'll never forget. I can't say thanks enough. THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!!!!! I love you guys<3

Quotes/Event-Avon Breast Cancer Fundraising Party

"[Admiration] never dies of starvation, it dies from indigestion." -French Proverb

Well this quote is interesting because that describes my current mood quite well. Lately, I've been feeling physically attracted to a certain person. But does that mean I have a thing for him or that I like him LIKE THAT? NOOOOOO! I don't...
It's just that thing where the guy is INCREDIBLY hot and you can't help but feel a certain pull that's making you gravitate towards him. But it's different from liking someone because this certain guy is someone I KNOW I will never go for in that way. I guess you can call it hormones. But my question is, does that make me a whore? To want someone (as in just wanting to flirt from time to time and perhaps maybe go to dances together as friends)? Confusing and conflicting thoughts these days -_____X
I don't know how to describe it because I'm sure if people read this, they will get the wrong idea. First thing's first: I DO NOT LIKE THIS PERSON IN THAT WAY. Just friends is all it is. But this person is very and extremely good looking. His personality is horrible online, decent in person so that defies all chances of me liking him. Personality is a big thing with me. But still, I'm helplessly human. Is it wrong to want someone (see above description of wanting someone)? This whole situation is giving me a migraine because this whole thing goes against my values. Sort of.
And even though this is more of a rant, I'm putting it on here because it's been bugging me. I can't believe this[another]person has the god-given guts to make fun of my friends RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE. I mean I dislike a lot of the person's friends but I don't say anything because it's disrespectful. So why the shishi is this person making of my friends right in front of me? So freaking annoying. I don't care if you don't like them because we've all got people we dislike. But it doesn't give you the right to make fun of them. They've never done anything to you so instead of making yourself look like you were dropped on the head when you were a baby, just keep your mouth shut and focus on your own problems instead of giving me more. I WISH I could say that and maybe I will. But we'll see won't we?
(Okay. I feel better now. I just had to let it out somehow....)

The fundraising party was fun. When Kathleen, Christina, and I got there it was a really nice (sort of lavish) setting. It was at Diamond Palace's banquet hall. It was so nice that I'm currently thinking about having my 18th birthday there. But that's another story. We sat around waiting for people to come. Oh yeah...even though they won't read this...for those who decided to flake out of the party, I really hope you're happy because thanks to you and your loyalty, Peter and Siobhan didn't get to make a profit and had to deal with cutting it even. So thanks. Alot. But anyway, we got to eat food after people came. It was mostly Indian food. There was this type of chicken that was spicy but it was good when you added the sweet sauce. And there's this thing where it's crispy on the outside but contains mashed potatoes and vegetables on the inside. That was really good. And there was all the drinks you could possibly drink. I think I had like a million Sprites. And after the speeches, everyone started dancing. Sort of. But it was fun. After all the Sprites I had, I got extremely hyper and I was having a good time. There really weren't a lot of people there so I didn't think I would dance with any guys. But I had fun. I danced with Andrew and Keane and Siobhan and Kathleen and Christina...So hilarious.
It was a nice party, not including the little money mishap but other than that....I had ALOT of fun and it was worth the 25 bucks to get in. I would so totally go again if there was another one.

Horoscope for Feburary 16, 2009
General: Sharing your secrets is unwise today, because a blabbermouth will be listening! You have more on your mind than you may realize, and that could mean that you let a secret slip to the wrong person if you're not vigilant.
Love/Relationships: Take your time! Romance is much easier than usual on Thursday and Friday -- it may seem that you're doing everything right, and that's part of it, but your crush or partner is also doing some of the work. A dream pops in this weekend and doesn't leave soon, reminding you of what you really want.

*Hmmm. Maybe this means I shouldn't talk about the above stuff. Oh well. We'll see how it plays out I guess.

Events-PC Kidnapping

Dreaming about waffles can be immensely satisfying. That's because when you wake up, you instantly get hungry and then you are able to eat to satisfy that hunger. Maybe it doesn't make sense to some people, but for me it makes a lot of sense. I've been getting really scary and/or stupid dreams and yesterday, I finally got to dream about something pleasant. Waffles. Yum. I'm not even kidding. And then...my beautiful dream got ruined.
I was dreaming about the delicious waffles when suddenly I hear all those yelling and screaming. I remember thinking "What the hell?! I'm gonna kill whoever it is who's screaming." And then I open my eyes and the first thing I see is people in white masks screaming at me and jumping on me. Then I grow more concious and the clock said "6:42" -______X The people were screaming "ASHLEY! CONGRATS! ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR OF PC! WHOOOO!" And that's when I realized that I only had a tshirt (with a bra thank god), and underwear. And my predecessors for activities director were trying to get me to get out of bed. When they realized I had to put on pants, they gave me my pj bottoms and wouldn't let me wear anything else. They also put some sort of bandana on my head and a blue shirt with a crazy (like really really crazy) design on it that spells out activities director. Then when I finally walk out of my room, my sister and brother woke up from all the screaming. One of my kidnappers gives me a piece of gum because apparently, they weren't going to let me brush my teeth. When I get downstairs, I see Mrs. Davis talking to my dad and then my dad smiles and waves and says "Bye!". BYE?!?!?!?!? My own dad KNEW about this whole thing since WEDNESDAY! THE HELL?! Oh, he's good. He's very very good. No wonder my mom told me to wear a bra to bed yesterday. No wonder my dad was being so anal about me cleaning my room yesterday. Gahh! Stupid!!! Anyway, I walk out the front door and one of the other kidnappers who wasn't in my room because he was guy was wearing a "Freddie" (the killer) mask and jumped out at me. Anyone who knew me well would know that I, of course, screamed. And then they pushed me into the car and we were off to get the other new officers of 2009.
After everybody that needed to be kidnapped was kidnapped all five cars started for Rowland Height's IHOP. On the way, it was the scariest ride of my life. Even more scary then Peter! Sort of. That was going a bit far. The scary level was actually pretty close to Peter. Yeah. Michael J swerved right left right left right again and left again. Did three uturns and sped up to 90 miles per hour(maybe that's a bit high. it was more like 70 but whatever. felt like 90 to me so hah), even though granted no one was on the street but us. But still. 90 MILES PER HOUR. I guess the whole three kids who died when the car flew up to the roof at 90 MILES PER HOUR means nothing to anyone -_______X When we finally got to IHOP alive, we all went into the store and everyone looked at us because half of us were in our pjs and had sashes, weird bandanas, signs, shirts, and paper crowns. We sat down and ate. After we ate, the old officers gave a speech about their respective new officers and gave their respective new officers their personal gifts. I got lots of random things like a lightbulb for bright ideas, doorknob and baby chew keys for "opening new doors to the future", candy for the stressful moments I'm bound to have, post its for organization, lucky pens that'll give me luck for the enormous tasks I have ahead, and finally a clipboard that had all the previous activities directors' names since 07. My name was the last one on the list "Ashley Chang 09" and next year I will pass it down to the 10 Activities Director. After that we all went home where I took a 2 hour nap. After the nap, I went on my computer and decided to write this since I was so bored with nothing to do.
Even though I'm tired as HECK I'm still happy. The experience was really something. I guess. LOL. Well, enough typing for now. ABDC is coming up and I missed it on Thursday. PEACE!

HOROSCOPE for Feburary 1, 2009
General:You're in just the right frame of mind to really get discussions going at the workplace or at home. Your energy feels more grounded and while things could get fanciful, you can still learn a lot.
Love&Relationships: You need to hide your true feelings for a bit today when you're dealing with someone kind of important -- but it's easy. Even if you usually wear your heart on your sleeve, you can cover it up like a master spy.

Introduction.

So yes. Ashycheeks now has a blogspot. Unfortunately for you, the reader, if you are expecting some deep thoughts and philosophical crap you might as well back out cause I'm not a deep person. Well, actually I can be if I wanted to be but I mostly just go with however I'm feeling at the moment. But if you don't care and still give a shishi (you'll need to know me well to get my vocabulary) about whatever I'm doing, (in which case 1) you're pretty bored, aren't you? and 2) if you are, thank you very much..I guess.) then enjoy!
But first let me lay it down for you on how I'm going to do this. First off, I do have my moments where I go crazy and ballistic so when I do have those days and decide to type and let it all out on my blog then you will know since it will be labeled "Rants". If I'm bored but want to do something somewhat productive then I will find a random quote and elaborate on that quote. Therefore it shall be labeled "Quotes". When something exciting or memorable happens then it will be labeled "Events". And anything else that doesn't quite fit into those 3 categories will be labeled "Random". Now I know some of you will be giving me this look (-__x) but you know what? Suck it. Because this is MY blog. So hah! Stick that in your juicebox and suck it. I might write something later on tonight if I am really that bored and have nothing to do..but if not then yeah. Goodnight.

OH WAIT!

And just out of pure boredom I will always include my horoscope of the day (for Piscies) at the end of my blog. Just because I can. And because I can, I will =]

--Ashley<3HOROSCOPE for January 28, 2008
General: Focus inward and see what you really want to do next. Your desires are much closer to the surface than usual -- but that doesn't mean you're wearing your heart on your sleeve, exactly.
Love/Relationships:If things have been hard for you lately -- and there's a good chance they have -- then you need to deal with them now. The good news is that you have way more than enough energy to fix it all up.
